ABOUT ALH. DALHATU O.MAMMAN(FICEN)

Alh. Dalhatu Odoga Mamman was born on 11th June, 1958. He hails from Giza, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He attended L.E.A Primary School Giza from 1965-1970 and proceeded to Government Secondary School Kuru, Plateau State 1971-1975, He attended School of Basic Studies, A.B.U Zaria from 1975-1976. He obtained his first degree (B.A Hons) History, from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in July, 1979, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), from University of Jos in February 1990, and completed a course work for Ph.D. in security and strategic studies (2016) from Nasarawa State University Keffi, amongst other qualifications. He worked in numerous places including Ministry of Education Plateau State, College of Education Akwanga (where he rose from Administrative Officer to Deputy Registrar) between 1980 and 1993; he served as Secretary, Nasarawa State School of Preliminary Studies Keffi and Registrar, College of Arts, Science and Technology Keffi between 1997 and 2002. He went back to College of Education Akwanga in 2002 and served as Secretary, Continuing Education Center and later Director of Information and Planning until his appointment as the Registrar, Nasarawa State University Keffi, where he served from March 2007 to February 2017. In between these, served as Akwanga Local Government Secretary of the National Republican Convention 1992- 1993 and a Council Member of the West African Examinations Council 2010-2012, committed member of the Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU).

He served as its Treasurer from 2014-2016 and midwifed the registration of the Association with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja. He attended many conferences both within and outside Nigeria, presented papers on university system administration and received many awards some of which are: African Achiever Merit Award by the African International Youth Council in March 2008, Certificate of Excellence as the most outstanding Registrar in the North Central Region by the West African Students Union Parliament.He has received a fair exposure by traveling to countries like Kenya, Liberia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ghana, United Arab Emirates and Turkey and in Nigeria; he has visited 30 out of the 36 State Capitals so far. He loves Languages and speaks English, Hausa, Gwandara and Alago fluently and French, Tiv and Yoruba fairly well. Alhaji Dalhatu Mamman holds the traditional titles of Mukungijin Giza (Akano); Madaucin Awe and BaradenAsakio all in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He is also the EBIGHE (Madaki) of Ozogho near Abinsi in Benue State.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Cooperate Executives of Nigeria (FICEN). He likes reading, traveling and watching Television Documentaries. He is happily married to Hajiya Rabi Sule and is blessed with 9 children and 6 grandchildren.
